Academy Residential Mortgage Introduces its 'Lending a Hand' Program

Novel Approach for Supporting Atlanta-Area Public Schools

Alpharetta, GA (October 1, 2007) - Academy Residential Mortgage, Inc. an Atlanta-area mortgage broker announced today that it had initiated a program where it will make a contribution to an area school for any mortgage financing it performs for a teacher or a member of the school's Parent Teacher Association.

Entitled, 'Lending a Hand' the initiative has Academy donating $250 to the school of the borrower's choice if Academy is used for the refinance of an existing mortgage or the purchase of a new home.  The borrower would simply need to mention the 'Lending a Hand' program and designate the school to receive the donation. Upon completion of the mortgage transaction, an Academy Residential representative will present a check to the school on behalf of the borrower.

'We believe that there is no better use of our time or resources than the education of our children', commented Academy president Timothy Brown.  'Our goal is to give schools discretionary funds that may in some small way improve the quality of their students' education.'
